“Shifting the Medical Paradigm from Injury to Prevention”

There are times in everyone’s life when you meet someone that you just feel instantly connected with. I first “met” Marissa when she was teaching virtual Tai Chi classes during the COVID-19 quarantine. I had never taken a Tai Chi class before but Marissa made it simple with her thoughtful explanation of each moves and the benefits of the practice as well as her relatability even through a computer screen. As soon as Naples began reopening, I immediately scheduled an interview with her to learn more about her work and of course, to introduce her to you!

Marissa Nocera, PT, DPT, Pn1

In addition to being a Tai Chi instructor as well as a CylceBar instructor, Marissa is also a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Vestibular Specialist at the practice she works at (What a powerhouse, right?). Despite her specialization already making her unique, her wholistic approach to treatment and wellness sets her apart even more and that is what we chatted about during our interview! To learn more about her approach to physical therapy, Tai Chi, nutrition and more, watch the short video below!

For your daily dose of health and wellness and for information on her class schedule for both Tai Chi and CycleBar, you can contact Marissa via her Instagram accounts at @dr.marissanocera and @marissa_cyclebar!
