Mediterranean on Marco Island

Sipping a delicious cocktail at a rooftop lounge in Chicago was our absolute favorite thing about living in the city, and when we moved to Naples, it was one of our most missed things. While Naples has beautiful places to enjoy a cocktail, it just wasn’t quite the same. We frequent the JW Marriot on Marco Island whether it be for a day at their peaceful spa or a business strategizing session over coffee (and later margaritas!) so we were following the construction of their new adult-only tower, Sirene. We were excited to schedule a staycation once the tower opened, but we were even more excited when we learned that the tower’s restaurant would be located on the fifth floor overlooking the island’s stunning beach.

Tesoro is a Mediterranean, tapas-style restaurant with an expansive outdoor area that allows you to dine while watching gorgeous sunsets and the waves rolling onto the sand. For seating, you have plenty of options from formal tables to comfy lounge areas. They even have swinging, egg-shaped chairs that are my favorite seat in the house. Inside of the bar area has the feel of a moody, sleek lounge and offers a host of comfy places to sit. If you’re worried about missing out on the view by sitting inside, the walls are glass, so there isn’t a bad seat in the house.

The food is creative and delicious, and the small plates allow you to try a little of everything. We recommend the oysters, grilled octopus, crispy lamb ribs, and the cauliflower! For cocktails, we highly recommend the Signature Margarita or the Classic Spritz. Keep in mind that if you wish to dine inside the restaurant which adjoins the lounge, reservations are recommended.

We hope that when you visit Tesoro, you love it as much as we do! And, if you see us swinging in the egg-shaped chairs enjoying a margarita, please say hello!
